A message from our founders
Our commitment to your future
When we set out to build Newstate University, we knew that to truly innovate, we had to do things differently. We didn’t sign on distant corporate investors who would prioritize quarterly profits over student outcomes.
Instead, we personally invested our own capital to turn this dream into a reality.
We put our own "skin in the game" because we believe that higher education is at a crossroads. By self-funding Newstate U, we have remained a faculty-owned and employee-led institution. This means we answer only to you—the learner.
Why We Chose Strategic Independence
Our personal investment allowed us to make a critical, intentional decision: To operate independently of the Title IV federal financial aid system. To some, this seems unconventional. To us, it is our greatest asset. By bypassing the massive administrative costs and bureaucratic overhead required by federal systems, we are able to:
- Offer Radical Affordability: We pass every cent of those administrative savings directly to you, keeping your tuition at a flat $300 per month.
- Provide Debt-Free Degrees: Our model is designed to be paid out-of-pocket, ensuring you graduate with a wickedly relevant certificate or degree, not a lifetime of interest payments.
- Maintain Curricular Agility: Because we aren't slowed down by federal regulatory cycles or state licensure boards, our faculty can update our AI and tech curriculum in real-time as the industry evolves.
Educators First
With over 90 years of collective experience supporting more than 200,000 learners, we aren't just administrators—we are your faculty (along with many other talented professionals working in the fields of AI, Customer Experience, Project Management and Product Management). We are invested in your success because we built this university for you, with our own hands and our own resources.
We invite you to join a community where the leadership is as invested in your education as you are.
Onward,
Sasha Thackaberry-Voinovich, PhD, Jaime Mordue, M.Ed., Founder, and our team of dedicated faculty here at Newstate U
