High Transfer Limits
We accept transfer credit for up to 75% of undergraduate degrees and up to 50% of graduate degrees.
No Expiration Dates
We do not reject transfer credit based on the age of the transcript. Whether you took a course 20 years ago or last semester, your valid credits are welcome here.

You can also earn credit through our own non-degree programs. Micro-courses and micro-certificates earned through The Professional Development Studio at Newstate University are fully stackable into your degree or university (credit-bearing) certificate. Reminder: those certificates stack right into that degree.

Note: For students outside these states, we offer non-credit, stackable learning options that may transfer into degree pathways if you later move to an authorized region, or if Newstate University is subsequently able to operate in a degree-granting capacity in your state.

Newstate University is proud to work with American Public University System, which offers transfer credit for Newstate U courses. Details on how it applies to program requirements can be found on APUS's transfer site.
Columbia Southern University
Columbia Southern University was established in 1993 to provide an alternative to the traditional university experience. CSU offers online associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees such as business administration, criminal justice, fire administration, military studies and occupational safety and health.
CSU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
Kansas Christian College
Kansas Christian College is a faith-based college that is a transfer and articulation partner of Newstate University.
Kansas Christian College is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation.
UMass Global
Newstate University is pleased to have University of Massachusetts Global (UMass Global) as a transfer and articulation partner.
UMass Global is accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
What does a transfer and articulation agreement mean?
Our transfer partners have evaluated our courses and curriculum, and determined that they will accept our quality courses for credit at their institution. Should you want to transfer out of Newstate University, we have options for you to take your credit to these partners. Additionally, some of them offer tuition discounts for Newstate University students. How those courses are articulated for credit (or what those course equivalencies are), are determined by the receiving institution.
This is another way that Newstate University is supporting students as we launch our radically affordable, wickedly relevant certificates and degrees.

We make it easy. You can send your official transcripts via our form on this page, or via your application form. You can also email them to us directly at: contactus@newstateu.com. We will handle the evaluation process from there.
Do my college credits expire?
No. We do not reject transfer credit based on the age of the transcript. Whether you took a course 5 years ago or 20 years ago, if the credit is valid, we will evaluate it for transfer.
Can I transfer my Newstate University credits to other schools?
Yes. Yes. We are a military-friendly institution and award credit for military training and occupational specialties based on the American Council on Education (ACE) recommendations and your Joint Services Transcript (JST).
