Professional Development Certificates at Newstate University are designed for non-matriculating (aka "not admitted") students to get immediate skills to show to employers.

You can start taking real, for-credit Newstate University courses right away — including courses that count toward a Professional Development Certificate — without first applying to a full degree program. This kind of flexible, pay-as-you-go path into credit-bearing coursework is common at universities today. As a non-matriculating student, you can take up to 18 credits this way. If you later decide to apply to and are admitted to a Newstate University degree program via our standard enrollment process and criteria, the credits you've already earned will be reviewed and will be counted towards your degree in alignment with our standard credit evaluation process.
